Renlist.....

Okay, i have been having so many problems with renlist over the past few weeks. Every time i start up renlist i am always missing different servers. Like some times i am missing jelly server and then i refresh it like 20 times then it shows up. The same thing happens with the matrix server, the same thing as the original matrix server like i can never find it except some times but i can join the beta server from irc and i can usually see it in renlist. if anyone knows wtf is happening with my renlist i would very much appreciate it :)

I don't know why it doesn't work properly for you, but I do have a trick for you you could use.

Just add the servers when you can see them and you will always be able to play on them.

You can also use RR for the server listings and jus untick the 'Join with Resurrection' box.

Isn't RR incompatible with 4.0?

Yeah it is but not everyone uses 4.0 so depends if he does nor not

The rr launcher should work with 4.0, just uncheck use ressurection and point the launcher at your 4.0 installation

The servers are probably missing because of a bug in the plugin that most servers use to broadcast to gamespy has a few bugs

Still wouldnt work for me with 4.0, imo 4.0 is just not all that

Regarding running 4.0 with RR - I highly recommend not doing so, as joining 4.0 servers with RR may make your client crash. - Plus running 4.0 and RR at the same time is incompatible and will not work.

You've still got to install RR to be able to use the launcher - it wont work.

Billie is right. The launcher is a separate application then RR.

Renlist is best.

All users will be forced to use 4.0 probably when the next build of 4.0 comes out RC2.

the trick with renlist is when you see servers that sometimes do not show add them to fav ..

I have used renlist for age's now and all servers show fine and it works great with 4.0

Umm...i use renlist and i have different issues but its rare. Theres a check box in settings that enable wol capability. not sure if thatd help you. As for 4.0 and rr. i used 4.0 with rr installed with no issue but never used the rr launcher so i thought it wasnt a issue. when i had issues joining i removed rr. Why arent they compatible?

I dont have rr i dont even have the CD for ren. so idk if that may be a problem but i have never had thhis problem before but as of right now almost everything is working 100%
